8th Grade Core

Curriculum work in the  Mount Baker School District takes place primarily through teacher work groups focused on improvement efforts in specific subject areas.  The following projects are currently in progress:

K-12 Math Improvement & Implementation - recent adoptions have been approved and work continues in alignment and implementation efforts.

K-12 Health and Fitness Review Task Force - this work is currently on hold, with hopes to reconvene the efforts in the near future.

8th Grade Core Refinements - adjustments to 8th grade core continue as teachers collaborate around alignment and integration.

Much of the work accomplished in the school district is the result of committees and task forces as well as through the continuous school improvement processes taking place at each school.  The work of these task force groups will include communication and collaboration with school leadership teams and staff and ongoing input from the community with membership consisting of representatives from various stakeholder groups.   Minutes of meetings will be posted on the district website and input will be solicited periodically throughout the processes.

Any questions related to the Task Force configurations or work projects can be directed to Trina Hall at 360-383-2011.
