Adjustments to School Calendar
The following changes have been made to the school calendar for the 2013/2014 school year:
Friday, May 2, 2014 will be a regular school day.
The last day of school this year will be Tuesday, June 17th.
Monday, June 16th and Tuesday, June 17th will be half days at all schools.
Early Release Reminders
Our early release days for elementary schools this year are on Mondays. Please watch the calendar for them. Students will be released at 1:00. Expect your child to be home about 2 ½ hours earlier than usual.
It is important that children attend school regularly. If possible try to make all appointments on early dismissal days or later in the day. We will be tracking attendance very closely this year. Please be sure to call the school or send a note in if your child is absent. We are also tracking tardies in the morning and afternoon.
PLEASE HELP THE BUS DRIVERS!
Please check your address to make sure it is visible by the road. (This is also very helpful if you ever need to call 911) Thanks so much for helping us out!
Picking Your Child Up From School
If you pick your child up at school you must sign them out at the front desk in the office. Please send a note to school with your child if you plan to pick them up or send them to someone else’s house. Without notes the child will be going home to their normal stop. Please help us with the safety of your children. We want to make sure we are getting them to the correct place.
Attention Parents of All Students
The law requires all students to be current on immunizations. Kindergarten and Sixth graders needed boosters before entering school. If your child received these, make sure to give that information to the office. If they have an appointment to get them, give us the date. If they still need to make an appointment please do so soon.
Thank you for your help.

MOUNT BAKER SCHOOL
Welcome to beautiful downtown Acme, Washington, home of Acme Elementary School. The rural setting of the South Fork Valley provides a wonderful variety of opportunities for our students. Our 200 students will be found in Kindergarten through Sixth Grades. A quick tour of the building may show students in a variety of classroom activities and groupings. Cross grade activities, small group instruction, assemblies, group projects, and much more provide a wealth of educational alternatives for our students.
The data in this web site was prepared by school district personnel, building staff, and the Acme Steering Committee. It provides us with an opportunity to share with the Acme School community, as well as the internet community, information about who we are, what we are doing and where we are going.
Our goal for this web site is to provide you with useful information. Any feedback that you have is encouraged and welcome. If you have suggestions for additions or general comments, please contact us at school.
