Students currently in 6th to 11th grade can fill out and turn in the paperwork needed in order to participate with MBJH and MBHS athletic teams. Measurements of Student Progress (MSP) Online
This spring, students in grades 3-8 will take most of their state MSP tests online. The online version is the same exam that students take on paper, just delivered in a different manner.
You may wish to view a video demonstration of testing software at http://assets.drcedirect.com/States/WA/Tutorials/Student/201301/201301.html
More information about online testing, including downloading the Online Tools Training, which includes practice tests, can be found at www.k12.wa.us/Assessment/StateTesting/OnlineTesting.aspx.
Early Dismissals
Our early dismissals are always 1:00. Watch your calendar closely for them. Expect your child to be home about 2 ½ hours earlier than usual.
All Day Kindergarten Beginning in the fall of 2012, the Mount Baker School District will offer full day, five days a week kindergarten at all three of its elementary schools. This will be an increase to the current three day per week programs at Acme and Harmony elementary schools to make them the same as the five day per week program we currently offer at Kendall School. This is an exciting step for the district as it moves forward in its work of enhancing early education opportunities for all of our students.
Parents or Guardians of 5th Graders We need to hear from you Please call us, fax us or provide us with your child’s Tdap information. The Tdap (Tetanus, Diphtheria, acellular pertussis) is a new vaccine which the State is REQUIRING schools to have in their records. One dose is required IF student is in 6-11 grade IF student is greater than or equal to 11 years old. Varicella (Chicken Pox) 1 dose is required and must be given on or after the 1st birthday. Parent reported history of disease is acceptable. Washington State Law WAC 248-100-166 requires that all children admitted to the public school have specific required immunizations/reports. Therefore, as soon as your child receives this vaccine, please notify your school by phone (360-383-2045)or by fax (360-383-2049). We will need the name of the student, the name of the vaccine and the date the vaccine is received and if calling in, the name of the person calling. You can also request the doctor’s office to fax confirmation of immunization as well.

Welcome to beautiful downtown Acme, Washington, home of Acme Elementary School. The rural setting of the South Fork Valley provides a wonderful variety of opportunities for our students. Our 200 students will be found in Kindergarten through Sixth Grades. A quick tour of the building may show students in a variety of classroom activities and groupings. Cross grade activities, small group instruction, assemblies, group projects, and much more provide a wealth of educational alternatives for our students.
The data in this web site was prepared by school district personnel, building staff, and the Acme Steering Committee. It provides us with an opportunity to share with the Acme School community, as well as the internet community, information about who we are, what we are doing and where we are going.
Our goal for this web site is to provide you with useful information. Any feedback that you have is encouraged and welcome. If you have suggestions for additions or general comments, please contact us at school.
