"GLAD YOU ASKED THAT!"

ACME ELEMENTARY SCHOOL

Why don’t the students in the upper grades, 5th & 6th, get a paper showing all assignments for 1 to 2 weeks and what assignments are missing?

Every teacher designs a parent communication plan to fit their classroom and personal style.  Some teachers have used a missing assignments format for all students.  Others use that format for those students who need more specific information.  One major learning focus for these grades is to help the students become more aware of their own responsibilities.  If a parent has a particular need for regular updates on missing assignments, they should speak directly to the classroom teacher.  There are many ways that the Parent Teacher Team can make certain that the information is available.  If you have a specific request, talk to your child’s teacher and see what you can collaboratively design to meet the needs of your student.
