Why doesn’t Acme have a Christmas Program?

All music performances are expected to be an outgrowth of the regular K – 6^th Grade Music Curriculum.  By using the regular curriculum, disruption to classroom routines and infringement upon other curriculum areas is minimized.  Space and time constraints limit the number of performances we are able to prepare each year.  This year we did have an all school music program.  Our Winter Program was scheduled in January to avoid the very busy month of December.  It was an opportunity for all of our students to share their learning.  The students and audience filled the high school auditorium.  Our Music Teacher, Mrs. Amy Candland, did an amazing job of selecting the music, teaching the pieces, rehearsing the students and directing the final production.  She made the production come together smoothly and completely.  We are so fortunate to have such a talented and dedicated teacher.
