VOLUNTEER
OPPORTUNITIES Does your resume look bare? Is your list of Volunteer Work one or two words? THEN READ ON because the Mt. Baker High School's Student Service Network is for YOU!
Mt. Baker's
Student Service Network works closely with the Whatcom Volunteer Center,
a non-profit organization that helps local non-profit businesses and agencies
find interested volunteers. Our Student Service
Network is operated and
maintained by students! These student coordinators interview interested
high school students to help place them in a rewarding volunteer experience. They also keep track of how many volunteer hours each registered student spends
on assigned activities through out the year. Students
can then have their volunteer hours officially noted.
Click on Whatcom Volunteer Center's most current volunteer postings to see what is currently available. This information is provided in a PDF format . It lists all of the current volunteer opportunities in Whatcom County that are registered with the volunteer center. They are categorized by interest area. Once you locate an opportunity call their local number 734-3055 or 1-800-VOLUNTEER (1-800-865-868337) and they will give you the referral information. Check the Whatcom Volunteer Center's website at: Whatcom Volunteer Center for more details. ALSO, the list of available volunteer opportunities are mailed to the SSN on a
bi-weekly basis. To find out more information just put your name on the Career Center sign up sheet and
one of the coordinators will make an appointment to meet with you!
