DEMING ELEMENTARY SCHOOL
AFTER SCHOOL ACTIVITIES

Deming's PTA hosts a series of After School Enrichment Clubs one afternoon per week. The clubs have been well attended; each session has served 40-90 students. This high level of participation has been achieved because classes are fun, children may ride the Activity Bus home, tuition is nominal and scholarships are available. Our volunteer instructors have offered clubs on cooking, recorder playing, computers, arts and crafts, organized games, and animal care.
The school hosts other after school activities for our elementary children including Open Gym with the Nooksack Boys and Girls Club, Youth Wrestling, Youth Basketball, Youth Soccer, Youth Softball/Baseball and Girl Scouts. Some Deming students belong to the Mt. Baker Community Choir and other community youth organizations, as well.
