(Webmaster's note: Deming Elementary School closed in the Spring of 1999 when a new school was built (Kendall Elementary). Students Deming and Maple Falls Elementary schools now attend Kendall. The Deming building is now host to Mount Baker High School classrooms. This is the Deming Elementary web site as it existed in the Spring of 1999)
The Deming Elementary School Web Site is proudly presented to you in our continuing efforts to make each of you "full partners" in providing a quality educational opportunity for our students. Research is clear that parental (partner) involvement in children's education is critical to school success. We hope that this report will provide you with meaningful information. We also want you to feel warmly welcomed in joining this community of learners, a community in which all members support and encourage each other's success.
Our mission is to combine the energies and resources of the school, the home and the community to ensure a quality learning experience that develop the whole child.
You will find that school spirit abounds at Deming Elementary. We are a school of 360 students in pre-school through grade six. Our students receive an excellent education and are offered numerous opportunities to demonstrate leadership, citizenship, creativity, and academic achievement in a non-competitive environment.
We welcome your comments about our educational program and encourage you to increase involvement in your child's education both at home and at school. Learning is a life-long joy!
Thank you for your ongoing support and encouragement. Together, we will build the future.
Sincerely,
Stephen Merz Principal
