DEMING ELEMENTARY SCHOOL

TECHNOLOGY

April, 1998

Thanks to the efforts of the Deming PTA and student fund raising efforts, as well as the Mt. Baker District Technology Committee, Deming has again added computers to the computer lab and classrooms. There are now two networked, multimedia computers in the computer lab. In addition, there are now network capable computers in sixteen classrooms. The involvement of 4 classrooms, "The Tech Team", in the Nooksack Salmon Enhancement Project has added even more technology, such as e-Mates, scanners and a computer capable of pressing CD Roms. All of these additions, plus the many hours of teacher training with the commitment by the entire staff to become more proficient in using technology, has made this year of growth and innovation at Deming Elementary.
