Trapshooting 2009

Trapshooting only takes place in the fall and is held at the Lynden Gun club on the corner of Weidkamp and West Badger Rd. northwest of Lynden west of the Guide Meridian. Students may sign up until 8 pm and shoot until 8:30 pm. Football and other fall sport athletes participate all of the time. The top 5 shooters combined (using top 2 out of 3 shooting totals) will represent Mt. Baker at the District Shoot in the end of October at the Moose Gun Club near Burlington on the Josh Wilson Rd.

Requirements:

  1. Prior shooting experience with the gun you are using
  2. Abide by all safety standards, must attend the Sept. 29 safety shoot.
  3. Complete and turn in three permission forms below to Mr. Rightmire
  4. Arrange transportation to and from gun club, or meet Mr. Rightmire in gravel area across Deming Rd from the 800 bldg.
  5. If driving yourself, riding with someone, or hauling someone to and from the shoots other than family members, complete a transportation waiver.
  6. Money to buy shells or have them in your possession. 50 shells per week. Each student shoots a score and a practice.  You have to declare practice or score before you shoot when you pay. Cost per round is $4.50.

These forms are different from the ones at the meeting.  I was told on 9/11 that they had some new forms, but after begging they would accept the older forms that were previously on the web and handed out at the meeting.
