Tips for a Successful Freshmen Year – from the High School Counseling Program A brochure titled “Tips for a Successful Freshmen Year…or If I Knew Then What I Know Now… is provided by the high school counseling department to all incoming Freshmen. The brochure is full of quips and quotes from current students and former graduates, with hints about what freshmen might consider and be aware of during their high school years. The most oft mentioned ‘hint’ is to do your homework, do not procrastinate. True to Mt Baker PRIDE, the second most popular advice was to get involved in extra-curricular activities. Good advice for adults and students, alike. |
