June, 2006

Curriculum Review—The District Science Curriculum Committee is recommending a proposal to the School Board for adoption of new Science Curriculum materials for grades K-12.  A formal recommendation will go to the School Board at the June 8 Board Meeting, with board action anticipated at the July 13 meeting.

The materials being recommended for purchase will be available for community review June 1 - July 13 at the District Office.  The public is invited to view the materials.  Public comment is encouraged through feedback forms located with the materials.  Questions or comments can be directed to Trina Hall, District Curriculum Director at 383-2011.  Visit the district website for an overview of the proposed materials and an outline of our recommended scope and sequence.

Please Note: Continued development of the K-12 Science Program will continue next school year, with plans for an additional materials proposal  to be presented to the School Board next spring.
