The animal I did a report on was the mosquito or the Anopheles quadrimacultus. It has 6 legs and 2 eyes. The difference between a male and a female mosquito is the male has a brush like antennae. You can find a mosquito behind you knees and on your arms.

The mosquitos live in shady spots and travel in large groups. The mosquitoes are so small that they cant be seen by the naked eye.

The female mosquitoes eat blood for protein. The male mosquitoes eat nectar and other fruit juices. The babies eat microorganisms and organic debris.

The full-grown mosquito gets about ¼ of an inch to 3/8 of an inch. The baby mosquito is in its egg for about 1 day.
