Updated 11/05/2009: NOTICE OF CLASSIFIED POSITION OPENING 2009/10 Date: November 2, 2009 From: Dr. Richard Gantman, Superintendent Posting: 09/10:24 Position: WINTER MUSICAL ASSISTANT - HS Type: Continuing, Extracurricular The District has an opening for Musical Assistant for the Winter Musical at the High School. Duties will be assigned by the Head Musical Coach and may include blocking scenes; assistance with costume and set construction, maintenance and storage; props management; stage crew supervision; sound and lights direction; and other duties as assigned. The successful candidate will have the ability to work with others as a leader and as a member of a unit and positively support other co-curricular activities, athletic and non-athletic. This position may be split between two candidates. This is a MBEA Coaches/Advisors represented position.
QUALIFICATIONS: • HS Diploma or equivalent required; • Experience working with students as a Drama Coach preferred; • Current CPR and First Aid Certification or willingness to obtain certification.

NOTICE OF OPEN POSITION FOR THE 2009/10 SCHOOL YEAR Date: October 29, 2009 From: Dr. Richard Gantman, Superintendent Posting: 09/10:27 Position: 8th GRADE BOYS BASKETBALL COACH - JH Type: Continuing, Extracurricular The 8th Grade Boys Basketball Coach is responsible for player supervision, safety, rosters, player eligibility and compliance with WIAA regulations and MBSD policies and procedures; other duties as assigned by the Principal, and/or Athletic Director. Salary is based on the Mount Baker Coaches Association Salary Schedule; placement is determined by paid experience. Affiliation: This is a MBEA Coaches/Advisors represented position.
QUALIFICATIONS: • Current CPR and First Aid Certification, • Knowledge and demonstrated skill of techniques and strategies of basketball, • Positive communication techniques while working with student-athletes, parents and staff, • Create a positive environment to ensure successful development of student-athlete’s academic and athletic potential, • Completion of Class II Driver’s License Class, • Successful coaching experience preferred.
