STRENGTHENING FAMILIES - This program can help strengthen relationships within the family and that can spill over into a more positive climate at school.  Program begins October 14.

HEALTHY YOUTH SURVEY - On October 13 – 17th , 2008 all 6th, 8th, 10th & 12th grade students attending Mount Baker School District  will be taking the 2008 Healthy Youth Survey.

Y-KIDS - AFTER SCHOOL DAYCARE AT KENDALL - A flyer was sent home informing you of an after school day care program that the YMCA is offering at Kendall Elementary.  If you have any questions, you can contact the YMCA at 733-8630 or we have more flyers at the office.

NOOKSACK INDIAN TRIBE "HOUSE OF CHILDREN" - This head start program is enrolling for fall classes.  Head start is a comprehensive child development program that provides services to low-income families with children ages 3 and 4 years by August 31.  For more information phone 592-0141.

LOST AND FOUND - Please label all items – We always have a large pile of lost and found. Help us by putting your child’s name inside their jackets, back packs and lunch pails.  Anytime you visit our school, please check our lost and found.  Thank you for your help.

SCHOOL BUS RIDERSHIP WEEK - OCTOBER 6 – 10, 2008 - The Mt Baker School District will count district-transported students for the State of Washington during the week of OCTOBER 6 – 10, 2008

LUNCH MENUS AVAILABLE - Breakfast and Lunch menus are made available online throughout the year.  In addition, our food services program has made available the necessary information to apply for participation in the Free & Reduced Lunch Program.  Look for the link to "Breakfast/Lunch Menus" in the left-hand navigation column throughout the year for updated menus.

SCHOOL PERFORMANCE REPORT FOR KENDALL ELEMENTARY - OSPI provides a "report card" for every school in the state.  WASL scores and demographic data about our district are provided.  Follow this link to get data about Kendall Elementary.

WHATCOM ALLIANCE FOR HEALTHCARE ACCESS - Does your family need access to affordable health care?  The Mount Baker School District has partnered with WAHA and DSHS to help families access affordable health care for children.

Dedicated in August, 1999 Kendall Elementary is nestled in the beautiful foothills of the Mt. Baker National Forest.  It provides educational services for over 500 pre-school through 6th grade students, including Special Education.  It is staffed by more than 70 supportive adults.

The diverse ethnic population is both multicultural and multiracial, including Caucasian, Native American, Hispanic, and Asian.  ESL services are provided for close to 20% of the student body, with a major emphasis on Russian to English.

Truly a rural community facility within the Mt. Baker School District,  Kendall Elementary provides a computer lab, library, gymnasium, Music and Art rooms, stage, lunchroom, and extensive outdoor playing fields.
