SCHOOL SUPPLIES 09/10 - Kendall's school supply list is ready early so you can keep your eyes open for great deals. Parents or Guardians of 5th Graders We need to hear from you The Tdap is a new vaccine which the State is requiring schools to have in their records. One dose is required IF student is 11 years old and IF it has been at least 5 years since the last DTaP, DT or Td. Washington State Law WAC 248-100-166 requires that all children admitted to the public school have specific required immunizations/reports. Therefore, as soon as your child receives this vaccine, please notify your school. The Doctor’s office is always willing to fax that information to us also. We will need the name of the student, the name of the vaccine and the date the vaccine is received and if calling in, the name of the person calling. Kendall School’s fax number is 383-2059. YES, THERE IS A FREE LUNCH! - Meals are available in the summer to all children ages 1 through 18. Read on for more details. SUMMER CAMPS - Students currently in grades K-8 have some fine opportunities to experience Math, Science, English and Language Arts through the summer school program. Download the Summer School Registration Form and the Summer School Bus Routes. NEW BACKSTOPS DONATED - You may have noticed at Kendall we have recently added two baseball/softball backstops and wondered what is happening. About a year and a half ago, Kendall received notice that Kendall School was named in the will of one of our community members, Catherine Snider. Catherine had volunteered at the school in years past and wanted to do something special for our Kendall students. With the money that Catherine directed to our school we have been able to do a number of special things. We have made purchases to support our library, music classes, science room and P.E. program. We have also been able to add the baseball/softball fields as well. In the coming weeks you will see additional work being done to finish our fields project. In these difficult financial times it is wonderful that we are able to do these things for our students. Catherine Snider has provided a gift to our school that will benefit our students for many years to come. NOOKSACK INDIAN TRIBE HOUSE OF CHILDREN HEAD START PROGRAM is accepting registrations for fall 2009 classes. For more information please call or visit the following two locations: Deming head start 5018 Alder St -592-0141 or Everson Head start, 6460 Mission Rd 966-0523. LOST AND FOUND - Please label all items – We always have a large pile of lost and found. Help us by putting your child’s name inside their jackets, back packs and lunch pails. Anytime you visit our school, please check our lost and found. Thank you for your help. SCHOOL PERFORMANCE REPORT FOR KENDALL ELEMENTARY - OSPI provides a "report card" for every school in the state.
