In the Spring of 1997, the voters in the Mount Baker School District approved a bond issue that has resulted in the construction of a new elementary school in the rapidly growing community of Kendall. The school is now open for business for 572 students. The students previously served by Deming and Maple Falls Elementary Schools attend Kendall. Deming and Maple Falls Elementary Schools have been closed. The Maple Falls building is serving as headquarters for the District's "Head Start" program. The Deming building will serve two purposes. It has eased crowded classrooms at the High School/Junior High campus - and the Deming Annex is now the District Office building. View the last version of the Deming Elementary School web site | ||||
