Using the Internet
Kendall Elementary follows the Mt. Baker School Districts Acceptable use
policies and procedures as stated on the Mt. Baker School District COMPUTER
NETWORK & INTERNET ACCEPTABLE USE POLICY agreement. The students and staff are
given a class on the policies and procedures. The agreements are signed then recorded into a database
that will stay with that student through 6th grade.
Network Use Agreement
A note for safe student internet use:
Safe surfing is a big responsibility. Once the
trust is earned and you have been given permission to search independently on
the web, this is the time to show how responsible you are by using common sense
and following a few safety tips:
 | Use only your account and password and keep
your password private. |
 | Report to a system administrator, teacher
or administrator any unsolicited email, security problems, or information that
makes you uncomfortable. |
 | Only go to sites that you are instructed to
go to. |
 | Students: Do not reveal your home address,
image, or phone numbers, or those of other students or colleagues. Use school
addresses and phone numbers only. |
 | Do know that electronic mail (e-mail) is
not guaranteed to be private. |
 | The network account holder is held
responsible for their actions and activity within their account. Unacceptable
uses of the network will result in the suspension or revoking of these
privileges. |
