 2008 Author of the Year--

Chris Crutcher

Chris Crutcher visited our school on February 29, 2008.

In conjunction with Western Washington University's Bond Children’s Literature Conference, we have the privilege of bringing world-class authors to Mount Baker. This year, Chris Crutcher was our guest speaker. "Crutcher's fast paced fiction -- heavily influenced by his work as a therapist and child protection advocate -- is known for its expert balance of comedy and tragedy, as well as its unflinching honesty." (from a short biographical statement, 10/26/2007.)

To learn more about him and his work, visit his website at www.chriscrutcher.com

Or, better yet, come by the library and check out one of this books.
