Learning Opportunity Center (LOC) helps in credit recovery

In an effort to support students who are in need of credit recovery, several staff members at the high school have combined efforts to identify students in need of this service and are supporting them through a cooperative effort with NW Indian College. These students, through the guidance of the LOC, will use an elective period to recover credits in addition to exploring the roots of native culture. Due to the hard work of Juan Ortiz and Kris Stopperan this class (through the LOC) can be provided at no cost to the district. This is an excellent example of using existing community resources to bolster the existing learning program.
