Confirming g Through Direct Measurement

Goal:

    You are to determine g, the acceleration due to gravity on Earth at sea-level, through direct measurement of free-falling objects.

    I am going to drop a bunch of stuff off of the top of the bleachers. 

Expectations:

    Your group is to create a data table containing the following information.  (This data table can be created by hand in your lab journal, but must be neat and legible):

• Descriptive Title

• Description of how you performed your experiment and calculated your results.

• Description of Each Object

• Distance of Free-Fall for Each Object

• Time of Free-Fall for Each Object

• Calculated g for Each Object, in m/s²

• Average g for All Objects, in m/s²

• Class Average for g

• % Error of Class Average from accepted value

• Any additional data you collected during the course of this experiment.
