Goal:
You are to determine g, the acceleration due to gravity on Earth at sea-level, through direct measurement of free-falling objects.
I am going to drop a bunch of stuff off of the top of the bleachers.
Expectations:
Your group is to create a data table containing the following information. (This data table can be created by hand in your lab journal, but must be neat and legible):
Descriptive Title
Description of how you performed your experiment and calculated your results.
Description of Each Object
Distance of Free-Fall for Each Object
Time of Free-Fall for Each Object
Calculated g for Each Object, in m/s2
Average g for All Objects, in m/s2
Class Average for g
% Error of Class Average from accepted value
Any additional data you collected during the course of this experiment.
