Become a Facebook Fan of MBJH

Mount Baker Junior High School has its own page on Facebook.  In our work to provide better communication between the school and home, the Junior High will begin a pilot project communicating using Facebook in addition to the newsletter, mailings, and our website.

The decision to use Facebook was made to take advantage of so many of you who are already regularly using it.  MBJH Facebook status updates will provide you basic information about what is taking place here, with a link to more detailed information that can be found on our school’s website.

When on Facebook search for MBJH and become a "fan," which will allow you to receive updates in your facebook "news feed" when we begin the new year.

MBJH "OUTFITTERS"
A Parent/Teacher Organization

The parents group will be known as the MBJH Outfitters. The term “outfitter” is commonly used to describe someone who acts as a contact person, who supplies materials/equipment, and helps secure necessary paperwork for a trip. As  Mountaineers it is important for our students to have outfitters to guide them in their journey in 7th and 8th grade.

NAVIGATION 101 - Mount Baker High School (Pride 101) and Mount Baker Junior High School (Junior High 101) are trying to help students survive and thrive during their school years and plan for their post-secondary lives.  JH 101 takes care of important and necessary items that don't necessarily fit into the logical curriculum of the primary classes taken by each student.

Pride 101

COLLEGE BOUND SCHOLARSHIP - A five-minute application process in 7th or 8th grade can lead to thousands of dollars of scholarships for students who might not be able to afford college.  Really.

VIEW GRADES ONLINE - FAMILY ACCESS

A new system is in place this year that offers more information and easier access.  Follow the link for information.

SCHOOL PERFORMANCE REPORT FOR MOUNT BAKER JUNIOR HIGH - OSPI provides a "report card" for every school in the state.  WASL scores and demographic data about our district are provided.  Follow this link to get data about MBJH.

WHATCOM ALLIANCE FOR HEALTHCARE ACCESS - Does your family need access to affordable health care?  The Mount Baker School District has partnered with WAHA and DSHS to help families access affordable health care for children.
