CALIFORNIA SCIENCE TRIP 2008

THURSDAY

Today was another beautiful and exciting day for our eighth graders in California.  We started with a morning visit to the Golden Gate Bridge which we could see the top of despite the Bay's infamous fog.  Our next stop was the Exploratorium with over 450 hands on experiments, unfortunately, it was a little too dark to get good photos inside.  After lunch, we took a 15 minute boatride to The Rock!  Alcatraz cells are smaller than many closets.  Everyone gets their own headphones for an audio tour narrated by former guards and even inmates.  Back on dry land, we had dinner and shopped (for our Moms, of course) at Pier 39.  The hotel pool wasn't any warmer tonight but was still gallons of fun and our evening meeting time was showcased by talented students presenting songs, cheers and poetry about our trip so far.
