The 2008 California Science Trip is off to a great start!  We arrived on time and toured Stanford University and the Marine Science Institute, the first requiring a lot of walking and the second a lot of thinking.  Despite being tired, we played Putt-putt golf while waiting for our pizzas to be cooked, then arrived at our hotel in time to hit the (unheated) pool.  See the attached photos.  More to come tomorrow.
