44 eighth graders and 11
chaperones arrived in San Jose, CA at 9 am Wednesday morning, loaded
their second bus of the day, and headed straight for Stanford. We went
to the top of Hoover Tower, toured the beautiful campus, heard the
majestic pipe organ in the Chapel and viewed Rodin sculptures.

After Stanford, we moved on to
the Marine Institute on San Francisco Bay. Here we netted and identified
fish, studied and TOUCHED sharks, gathered plankton and looked at it
through a microscope, and filtered through the rich estuary mud to find
all sorts of interesting invertebrates. Did we mention enjoying the warm
sunshiny weather throughout our day? |
