Travel

Boy - 2:30 am sure comes early, but we were all there.

Marine Science Institute

This is a working research facility - and the students were the workers.  They pulled in the nets to find various types of fish.  They dug into the floor of the San Francisco Bay estuary to find out what was down there.  The got to touch several sea animals and plants, with a special emphasis on the shark.

Stanford University

A group picture in front of Hoover tower (named for Herbert Hoover), the view from the top of the tower, the carillon in the tower, the tour of the campus, and the on-campus church.  We had the pleasure of listening to the organist who was practicing the 800-pipe instrument.  WOW

Mini-Golf

After a long day, the kids relaxed to a game of miniature golf and a dinner of pizza.

Tomorrow

Tomorrow we get to see the Golden Gate Bridge and the Exploratorium in the morning.  Afternoon gives us a tour of Alcatraz and a chance to see some Tall Ships before we eat dinner at Pier 39 in San Francisco.
