SENIOR HONOR FESTIVAL
Monday, October 29, 7-9 pm, Mount Baker HS
AND CONCERT: Monday, November 5, all day & evening, MBHS
We are currently the host for
this regional event. This event is
open only to selected students in grades 9-12.
The Honor Festival can be described as an "All-Star" Band.
Mr. Sutton will nominate 6 - 12 willing musicians that have proven to be
exceptional musicians and responsible people.
Those who are selected will receive music to practice (three or four
songs) for two or three weeks prior to the festival.
On the day of the festival these students will gather along with students
from all High Schools in Whatcom, Skagit, Island and San Juan Counties to
rehearse high quality literature with a highly respected guest conductor for the
day. The day will culminate with a
concert for the public that will include an honor choir and an honor orchestra.
January 26, all day

BAKER BAND WEB SITE
years ago we began to create a World Wide Web Site for the Mountaineer Band, and
it is beginning to expand to the entire Music Department.
We want to create a Web presence that, among other things, celebrates the
history and the current success of our band program.
This web site may contain pictures, names, and even sound clips of our
music for others to hear.
do this, the form below must be filled out and signed by both student and
parent/guardian. Note that the procedure is to cross out any of the items that
you do NOT want included on the web site.

want to make sure that any pictures that we take do not include students who do
not wish to have their picture on the Internet.
I would appreciate everyones cooperation in returning this form as
