The MBHS Jazz Band were in Poulsbo on February 2 participating in the Viking Jazz Festival.

This two-day festival features some of the best high school jazz bands in the country.

Their day began at 5:30 am, taking a bus to Edmonds and crossing Puget Sound on a ferry from Edmonds to Kingston.

The Jazz Band played I Got Plenty O' Nuttin', Misty, and All of Me.  After they performed, they received a clinic from the director of the Jazz Band at Bangor Naval Base.

They also had a chance to listen to several other jazz bands.  Then Claire instigated card games on the return trip on the ferry, while Daniel amused people with his Rubik's Cube talents.

Congratulations to the Jazz Band for representing Mount Baker High School with talent and class!
