The Mount Baker Jr/Sr High School Music Department presented their "Festival Concert" on March 25, 1999 in the MBHS Auditorium. |
| This concert is designed to give individuals and groups the opportunity to perform music that was (or will be) performed at various festivals, thus the name. One of the festivals referred to is the solo and ensemble festival, held in February. At right, Freshman Amy performs a solo on the flute, which earned her a "superior" rating - the highest rating given at solo/ensemble. |

Mary Sue Woodbury also performed a solo, but this one was a vocal solo. A Junior, Mary Sue also earned a superior rating as a Mezzo-Soprano soloist. |
| The Jazz Band also performed music that they would be performing at the Ferndale Jazz Festival. At right, Senior Adam Anderson wails on the Tenor Saxophone. |

The Mountaineer Band performed a couple of pieces that they would be playing at the Large Group Festival at Western Washington University in April. The Mountaineer Band earned a Superior rating - only the second time that this has occurred in the last 17 years. |
