READY! for Kindergarten Mount Baker School District provides classes for parents of 4 and 5 year olds to help them get their children ready for kindergarten. The READY! for Kindergarten program includes information about the importance of early-learning, before a child enters school, laying the foundation for all future learning. READY! for Kindergarten teaches parents how to “Play with a Purpose”, which builds strong minds and relationships. Parents learn activities and receive helpful materials and free educational toys to make learning at home fun and effective. Classes are free to parents in the Mount Baker School District, and free child care is provided. Classes are offered throughout the school year.
