Frequently Asked Questions

The Red Cross is committed to prevention, preparedness, and response.  The School Safety Initiative is our way of including schools in this commitment.

The School Safety Initiative is a community collaboration.  This K-12 program aims to improve school and community safety by providing Red Cross services and programs on site, through a variety of forums including classroom presentations, after school classes, activities and clubs, and curriculum options.  American Red Cross services and information are brought right into the Mount Baker School District community, so community members don’t have to travel far from home to participate.
