We spent the meeting refining and evaluating the tech
committee budget. Some thoughts:
 | We need a representative to the tech committee from
Harmony – we need to find someone from Harmony to join us – let’s recruit |
 | We need to include salary benefits into our budget for
building tech support, tech coaches, tech mentor stipends, tech committee
stipends and webmaster– approximately 10% |
 | Should the webmaster’s salary come from Tech budget –
or should it come from the general budget or some other source? Where is
the best place for this to come from? |
 | We think that our numbers for the Building Tech
Support people are incorrect – Bev and Gary will research the correct
amounts that they should be paid – for next year, we need to re-evaluate to
make sure they are being appropriately compensated for their work |
 | We’ve budgeted for the Building Technology Coaches,
but we have given them little or no guidance - Gary will ask the
Instructional Tech Support people what they’ve been doing this year so far…
call a meeting of this group. |
 | The Tech Mentor Program seems to have been suspended
so far this year – Gary will investigate as to whether anyone is doing
anything and if we need to follow up on this program. |
Bottom line: Currently we have about $11,000 to work with
that has not yet been committed – and $16,000 budgeted towards staff
development. Our priorities should be:

help in the hardware area, and |
 |
to
plan our staff development – particularly the August Mount Baker Institute |
