Dissemination: Communicating Your Findings and Project Products

 

Note to Teacher: All of these tasks need to be verified in the same manner. Take some digital photos of the activity and write a short description of the event (e.g. what happened, how successful, who participated, where it occurred).  Send these to your mentor and to davidt to be included in the project webpage.

 

A.  Teacher Presentations & Products

 

Make a software presentation to your faculty showing what a particular software program can do.

Make a multimedia presentation about your place study to your faculty/community/school board using your digital tools. Include students.

Make a presentation at a computer conference.

Create electronic portfolios for your place study showing student projects.

Conduct a K-20 Net videoconference.

B.  Student Presentations

 

Encourage students to create a Powerpoint, Hyperstudeo, Frontpage or Site Central software presentation and use the Smartboard &/or projector

C. Student Products (Place Study)

 

Encourage students to create an electronic encyclopedia, a webpage, or any other digital product that describes their involvement in the Digital Tools project. Have them use text, images, tables, import spreadsheet and other documents, links

Important Note: It is important to share our activities with other participants and project staff. Most sharing will occur in one of two ways: 1) Send an image & short description of the task activity to davidt to be posted in 'News' and/or 2) post your thoughts on the 'Discussion Corner'.
