The our project staff wishes to congratulate Clover Valley Elementary School and Oak Harbor Middle School for joining Digital Tools. We welcome Roxanne Moir and Christa, who are 5th and 6th grade teachers at Clover Valley Elementary School and John DelPrete and Dan Thomason who are teachers at Oak Harbor Middle School, to the project.  We hope you learn a lot about how to use computers to improve student learning, as well as, how to improve your own technology usage competency.  Welcome!

Roxanne Moir, 4th Grade Teacher at Clover Valley Elementary School

My name is Roxane A. Moir and I am a fifth grade teacher at Clover Valley Elementary in Oak Harbor, Washington. I have worked for the Oak Harbor School District for three years now. I received my Bachelor of Arts Degree in 1993 and my Bachelor of Education Degree in 1996. At the present, I am going for my Masters Degree in Education in Literacy.

I am also a tech guru who loves to play with computer toys. At the moment, my class is developing a website with me which is very exciting. It is still under construction, but you can check it out at: www.pioneernet.net/snwbrds/ <http://www.pioneernet.net/snwbrds/>

I am looking forward with a strong passion to enhance my students' learning with up-to-date digital tools. I look forward to removing the Apple IIs in my classroom. The time has come to move my class into the 21st century and I am thrilled to be given the opportunity to show kids through the interaction of technology that learning is exciting, fun and powerful!
