Students in grades 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, and 10 take part in
the Washington Assessment of Student Learning (WASL)
each year. Tenth graders must meet or exceed the
standard on the Reading, Writing and Math portions of
the test, or a state approved alternative, in order to
receive a high school diploma. The WASL is a part of our
state assessment system.
The
Office
of Superintendent of Public Instruction (OSPI) website
has information for you about the WASL and related
Graduation Requirements.
For more
information or to have any questions answered, please
contact the principal of your child's school, your
child's teacher or counselor, or our District Curriculum
Director, Trina Hall, at 360-383-2013.
