What is a Family Services Coordinator?
There are three Family Services Coordinators at Mount Baker School District. Our mission is to create partnerships between families, school and the community. We provide support which enables children, adolescents to live in a safe and healthy environment that encourages them to be present and do their best in school.
~We assist families with resources, information and problem solving to help their children succeed in school.
~We are here as a support to students, staff and parents.
~We seek to educate and empower families to be resourceful and creative in difficult economic times.
~We are available for confidential meetings by phone, at school or at home.
All our services are confidential
Although it is only September, there are already organizations in our community that are thinking ahead towards the holidays. A variety of community organizations and individual donors have offered to support families in the Mt. Baker District this holiday season. Mount Baker families who qualify for free or reduced lunch can apply. If you are interested in receiving holiday support this year please fill out a Request for Holiday Assistance form and return it to your child’s school office ASAP. Applications are available in the front office, school websites, or families can request that a form be sent home with their student. Please contact your school FSC to sign up or if you have questions!
