Dear students, staff, families and community,
If you are interested in attending the School Board Meeting this week, please note that there has been a time change posted. The meeting will begin at 4:00 p.m. to complete the Oath of Office for newly elected and re-elected members. That will be followed by an executive session that is closed to the public to discuss the superintendent position. Regular business which is open to the public will follow at 6:00 p.m.
Check out the Mt. Baker Winter Ride Youth Program for grades 6 through 12 at an informational meeting on January 11 at 6:30 p.m. in the Mount Baker High School Library. This is a great opportunity for students to learn to ski and/or advance their skills with lessons and ski time during March.
Next Wednesday, December 20 is a regular early dismissal day which is 1:00 p.m. for junior high and high school students and 2:00 p.m. for elementary students. Winter Break is December 21, 2023 through January 2, 2024. School will resume on Wednesday, January 3 which is also an early dismissal day.
This is my final communication as your Superintendent. District communication will resume in January. I wish you all a wonderful holiday season and happy new year with great things to come for Baker in 2024!
