In the summer of 2025, Washington State will offer Summer EBT, “SUN BUCKS”, a grocery benefit program that provides families $120 for each ELIGIBLE school-aged child to buy groceries when school is out. This benefit will be on an EBT card and will be mailed to the address on file (make sure your address is current with your child’s school).
Sun Bucks eligibility:
Children who live in a household already receiving assistance program benefits (SNAP, TANF, FDPIR), OR
Child attends a school that operates the National School Meal Program (K-12th Grade), AND
Is directly certified for free and reduced-price school meals, OR
Submit a qualifying Child Nutrition Eligibility and Education Benefit (CNEEB) Application by MAY 30th (available at all Mount Baker School offices).

ALL Mount Baker students have access to meals at no cost during the school year, but only students who qualify for free/reduced meal status (directly from Washington State or have been approved on a Child Nutrition Eligibility and Education Benefit application) will receive the SUN BUCKS benefit. Eligible school-aged children will receive their EBT card between June and August.
