Join the Garden of the Salish Sea Curriculum for Family Field Days!!

Take advantage of free entrance to Birch Bay State Park for the Family Field Days. Just mention that you are a student or that you are visiting with students for FREE PARK ENTRANCE!

Upcoming Family Field Days at Birch Bay State Park, meet at BP Heron Center (dependent on low tide):

  • Saturday, May 28 @ 10:00 AM
  • Saturday, June 4 @ 2:00 PM

You will explore Birch Bay State Park’s inter-tidal zone with Naturalists. You’ll learn to:

  • Identify different organisms using ID guides
  • Identify adaptations and body parts that help organisms to survive
  • Relate organisms to the food web
  • And they’ll have fun finding cool creatures on the beach!

Support a thriving Salish Sea and healthy oceans globally that can feed us. Take the Salish Sea Community Challenge to practice watershed healthy and climate friendly habits.
