Weekly Update from the Superintendent

Dear students, staff, families and community,

The Mountaineer’s Varsity Football Team is moving on to the quarterfinals for the state playoffs.  Saturday, November 19 at 4:00 p.m. they will play Lakeside High School at the Union Stadium in Spokane.  Here is more information and a link to watch the live stream.  GO BAKER!

I thoroughly enjoyed watching the Mount Baker High School’s Drama Production of PUFFS for their final performance on Sunday.  Congratulations to all of the students and staff involved in this delightful production.  Well done!

Remote learning in case of inclement weather and/or emergencies has been mentioned in my last two communications.  Here is our Distance Learning Plan that contains all the information you need to know about shifting to remote learning.  If you have additional questions, please contact your child’s school.

Since we are coming up on Thanksgiving week, it is important to me to express my sincere gratitude for our entire Mount Baker Community including students, parents, staff, and community members!  It is a pleasure and honor to work with all of you and live in this beautiful place.  Thanks for all of your support for our students and staff!  Remember that there is no school November 24 through 28.  School resumes, Tuesday, November 29.  Due to the holidays, my next communication will be Wednesday, November 30 at 5:45 p.m.

Happy Thanksgiving!

Sincerely,

Mary Sewright, Superintendent
