Greetings Class of 2030 students and families,
We hope you are enjoying your summer. In just a few weeks you will begin your high school career at Mount Baker! In preparation for a successful start to the year, we are excited to invite you to our 9th Grade Orientation on Tuesday, August 25th from 9:30am to 2:00pm in the MBHS Auditorium.
During the orientation students will:
Meet their Peer Mentors
Learn strategies to be successful high school students
Receive their class schedule
Tour the school and meet their teachers
9th Grade Orientation details:
Is attendance mandatory? We hope that all students can make it to orientation, but we understand some families already have other plans. If your student cannot attend they will receive their schedule on the first day of school. Orientation will be the only time schedules are available before school starts.
Am I expected to participate as a parent/guardian? Good question! This orientation is student-focused, so we will be limiting participation to students only.
Where should students go when they arrive? The doors for orientation will open at exactly 9:30am. Students should gather just outside the cafeteria doors. You don’t want to be late!
