REMINDER - Friday, May 3rd is a normal school day for all students at all Mount Baker schools (it is an Inclement Weather make-up day).
A Mount Baker School bus carrying Harmony Elementary students was involved in a minor traffic accident this morning near the intersection of Deming Road and Mount Baker Highway.
There were 19 students on board, and per standard practice, all were evaluated by local EMS staff. Once all students were checked out, they were loaded on to a different bus to be delivered to Harmony.
While there was no significant damage to the bus, it will be taken out of service until it passes a thorough safety inspection.
Families of the students who were aboard the bus can expect direct communication from Harmony Elementary.
